Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 c Confectioners' sugar
  • 1 c Butter, softened
  • 2 Egg yolks -OR 1 Egg
  • 1 t Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 t Almond extract (opt)
  • 2 1/2 c All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 t Salt Food color (opt)
Directions
  • Preheat oven to 400'F.
  • Cream confectioners' sugar and butter in large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed.
  • Beat in egg yolks, vanilla and almond extracts.
  • Combine flour and salt.
  • Add to butter mixture; mix well.
  • Tin dough with food color, if desired. Place dough in cookie press.
  • Press onto ungreased baking stones about 2" apart.
  • Decorate as desired.
  • Bake 6-8 minutes or until very slightly browned around edges.
  • Remove to wire racks to cool.
  • Makes about 6 1/2 dozen cookies.
